Working with FoodJin is easy. Our smart mobile interface allows you to set your hours, upload photos of your dishes to promote your cooking, update your dish catalog, post a newsfeed, and give your customer updates on the status of their food. You can also check on your order history and payouts. Furthermore, booking a kitchen for a session keeps your overhead low, and the quality of your food high.

Basic Requirements

Requirements vary by city, but there are a few minimum requirements: All FoodJin cooks must be of legal working age in their city, and every cook must submit to a background check.

We will need the following standard working documents from you - 1) Valid photo ID 2) SSN We may also require the W-9 and ACH authorization form as a part of the payment setup.

Does Foodjin allow for private deliveries by chefs?

FoodJin doesn't allow private deliveries by its cooks. FoodJin believes in making efficient use of chef's time, so we've got the delivery taken care of.

Is there a deposit for hiring a kitchen?

A deposit is not required for chefs to confirm kitchen booking. However, the total booking fee is applied to your card as soon as the booking is accepted by the rental kitchen.

How do I start working with Foodjin?

It's simple! Download the FoodJin Chef app, sign up and provide the required documentation to get you live. You can become a partner and get cooking with FoodJin in as soon as 2 days.

How do I update my payment information?

Edit your bank account details through the FoodJin Chef app. All the payments are processed in the primary bank account linked to your profile.

How do I deliver my food to the customer?

You don't! We have drivers who will fetch the order from you and deliver it right to the customer's door. Just make sure to package the food securely before the driver leaves.

Do I need my own Smallwares?

Some kitchens do offer smallwares, while others don't. If you serve food with preferences like kosher, or halal, etc. FoodJin insists that you keep the utensils in accordance with the food needs. This way, we satisfy customer standards and expectations.

Are travel expenses included?

No, FoodJin is not responsible for your travel, ingredients, or other expenses used to prepare dishes.

Can I deny an order/delivery?

We hope you won't! FoodJin expects chefs to maintain no more than a 15% denial rate of overall orders. A denial rate of more than 15% would flag you to our restoration program, and could lead to termination/suspension from FoodJin's platform.

Is there a referral program? How does it work?

Currently, FoodJin platform does not offer a referral program. The FoodJin concept is for anyone and everyone who knows how to cook. We intend to grow WITH YOU, not the other way around.
